The Club is delighted to announce that Joe Thompson has also signed on for 2026, this will be his 3rd season riding at Championship level for the Gladiators and Phillips is again delighted to get his man.

"Joe joined us initially in 2024 together with his twin brother Dan and made an immediate impact. He improved markedly in 2025, often taking on extra responsibility due to injuries and the need to operate a rider replacement facility due to other absences and proved to be an outstanding team player.

Joe is a rider who has done his apprenticeship now and we are very happy and grateful that he has decided to continue his Championship career in Devon

I do think that with more time to focus on himself and with the great experience that Scott and Danny will bring to the whole team, that Joe can progress further in 2026 and potentially add at least a point to his average. He has worked with or ridden with both Danny and Scott before and I am sure that he will thrive in the team environment that we are building here at The Coliseum.
